Oil Firing Technical Association(OFTEC):
The body for registered professionals in the oil heating industry. Most building work done in your home will be subject to Building Regs-and that includes any installation or upgrade to your heating system. In England all work must be notified to your local authority. If you use a OFTEC Technician, like myself, I'm classified as a 'competent person' under Building Regulations thus i can self certify the work and arrange notification for you. You will receive a certificate that the work done meets regulations. You need to keep this as it may be needed as part of the 'Home Information Packs' which are becoming mandatory.
Clicking the OFTEC sign will take you to the website.
